Refund & Returns Policy

1. At DeadpawTCG, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of sealed Pokémon Trading Card Game products. This policy explains your rights and our processes under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), as well as our store-specific approach.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

All products we sell come with mandatory consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.

You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund (your choice in most cases) if a product:  

Has a major failure (e.g., significantly different from description, unsafe, unfit for purpose, or a problem so serious you wouldn't have bought it knowing about it), or  

Has a minor failure that we can't fix in a reasonable time.

These rights apply regardless of any "no refund" statements — we fully comply with the ACL.

2. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items (Including Transit Damage)

If your sealed product arrives:  Damaged during shipping,  
Not as described (e.g., wrong item/set),  
With a manufacturing defect (e.g., factory-sealed but contents visibly faulty upon inspection — note: we do not open sealed products),

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery (or as soon as reasonably possible) with:  Photos of the item, packaging, and any damage  
Your order number  
Proof of purchase (we can usually locate this via your email/account)

We will assess the issue promptly. If it qualifies under the ACL:  For major failures — you can choose a full refund or replacement.  
For minor failures — we will arrange repair (if applicable), replacement, or refund.

We cover reasonable return shipping costs for faulty/incorrect items (use tracked shipping and keep receipts). Refunds are issued to your original payment method within a reasonable time (usually 5–10 business days after we receive/inspect the return).

3. Change of Mind / No-Fault Returns

Due to the collectible and sealed nature of Pokémon TCG products (value depends on remaining sealed, and opening affects resale/legitimacy), we do not accept returns or provide refunds for change of mind, change of preference, buyer's remorse, or discovering a better price elsewhere.  This is permitted under the ACL — change of mind is not a consumer guarantee issue.
(We follow common industry practice for sealed trading cards to protect product integrity.)

4. How to Return an Item (Where Accepted)

Contact us first via email at deadpawtcg@gmail.com or our contact form — do not send items without approval.  

We will provide return instructions (including any prepaid label if applicable).  
Items must be returned in their original sealed condition (unopened, with all packaging intact).  
Return shipping is your responsibility unless the return is due to our error/fault (see section 2).  
We inspect returned items upon receipt before processing any refund/replacement.

5. Important Notes

Proof of purchase is required (order confirmation email, bank statement, etc.).  
Refunds do not include original shipping fees (unless the entire order qualifies as faulty/incorrect).  

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions or appear tampered with.  
For high-value orders, we may request additional verification.
